Established on former farmland, Windy Bank Wood offers tranquil walks through the edges of ancient peatland, open meadow and newly created woodland.
Windy Bank Wood is a flat, open site with established native woodland and pockets of new planting to increase the woodland area, along with tributaries of the Glazebrook River running through. This site is popular with dog walkers, cyclists, and families, with picnic benches at intervals across the site.

The walk is suitable for prams, although an alternative starting route is highlighted.
Please note - the car park at Bents Garden & Home will close when the Garden Centre closes. There is no additional parking at Windy Bank Woods.
